Using soap to protect your fingernails:

Most of us worry about damaging our fingernails while gardening. We must get out hands dirty while gardening, but it is also depressing when the dirt gets into our nails. So, to prevent dust and sand from getting into your long nails, draw your fingernails across a bar of soap and by doing this you will be able to seal the underside of your nails and mud or dirt cannot get collect beneath them. Once you are done with your work in the garden, you can remove the soap with a nail brush.

Location of the plant is very important:

There are lots of shrubs you can keep in your garden. Some plants are shade plants, and thus you need to keep them away from the sun while other plants need the rays of the sun to perform photosynthesis. So try to understand the nature of the plant you are going to keep in your garden and place them accordingly in your garden.

Use Drip Irrigation:

Drip irrigation is one of the best ways to water your plants in the garden. The method saves a lot of water, and it supplies a small amount of water for an extended period thus helping the plants to grow better. The water is provided only to the plants you want, and therefore you don’t have to worry about unwanted weeds growing in your garden. This method of irrigation also helps to control fungal diseases.

Keep not of the time and date:

Not all plants grow well through the year. Each plant has a particular season in which they grow well. So make sure that you plant your saplings accordingly. You need to sow the seeds at the right time of year.

Beginner’s plants:

If you happen to be a beginner in gardening, you can choose to plants that are easier to grow. Vegetables like onions, tomatoes, bush beans, etc. are very easy to grow and you need not put in much effort to maintain them.  If you are interested in having flowering plants, then you can have foxglove, dahlia, roses, sunflowers, petunia, etc.

Use Organic Fertilizers:

Chemical fertilizers can deplete the quality of the soil, and it also kills the useful microorganism along with the harmful ones. Organic fertilizers break down and improve the structure of the soil so that your plant can grow well.

Remove weeds:

As you create an optimal condition for your plants to grow, there are many other weeds which grow along with your plants and absorb the nutrients from the soil. So you need to prune your garden and pluck out unnecessary weeds continually.
